  1. SeraphineCan we talk for a moment?
  2. SeraphineSacrifice's Rest left a deep impression on me. There were so many long-forgotten records, traces of old rituals... I felt Zumion's will so vividly.
  3. More than anything, Zumion gave herself entirely to others. That is what kept the legacy of her name alive to this day.
  4. And why I want to carry that legacy forward into the future. I want to walk her path and protect her teachings as an official priest, not a mere researcher.
  5. So... will you continue on this path with me? I need your help once again.
  6. I found this book inside. It's titled An Introduction to Zumion and details the steps to becoming a priest. Would you like to read it?

  1. SeraphineHow did you find it? It really stirred something inside me. I thought her rites had been lost, but we found them... I am destined to be a priest.
  2. It says the first step to becoming a priest is self-purification. A time to steady your heart and face the shadow within yourself.
  3. But you can't do it alone... It's a joint ritual, so it has to be done with someone else.
  4. I thought a lot about who I should ask... and in the end, I could only think of you. If you're with me, Daeva, I think I can be brave enough to try.
  5. I will become a priest and spread Zumion's ideals anew. These rituals have long been lost to time... Someone has to resume them again, don't you think?
  6. All my fellow Zumion researchers already know my conviction. I'm going to make this canyon Zumion's once again.
  7. The altar for the trial is inside Sacrifice's Rest. I'll go ahead. Come when you're ready.
  8. SeraphineThat place inside looks like the trial chamber. According to the book... it's likely where I'll face my "shadow."
  9. I don't know exactly what kind of trial awaits... but something is bound to happen once I light the Purification Brazier.
  10. I brought some Purifying Powder from the Guardite we defeated before. The purifying aura will surely help us.
  11. I'll add the powder. Daeva, can you light the fire?
  12. All right. Let's go in. I'll lead, follow me!
  13. Zumion's ProjectionAre you prepared to follow Zumion's teachings? If you seek the truth, you must walk the right path.
  14. That path reveals itself only at the end of an irreversible choice.
  15. Remember, the right path is where you offer your own flame to light the way for others.
  16. SeraphineYes, just like it said in the book. I remember the line about a place where you offer your own flame.
  17. It also says that the brazier for holding the fire is connected to the teachings of Zumion.
  18. Maybe what the projection said wasn't just symbolic. It might actually be linked to one of the braziers.
  19. I see five empty braziers around us. One of them must be the right one. Let's look at them closely.
  20. Offering up your own flame to light the way for others...
  21. Zumion's ProjectionAs a priest of Zumion, you are worthy to draw light from suffering.
  22. You shall be acknowledged by the will of Zumion.
  23. SeraphineI can't believe it... It's really over. All these trials led me here.
  24. I think I understand a little now. Zumion wants us to value mindset over strength. The heart is stronger than any other muscle.
  25. Now return to Sacrifice's Rest.
  26. SeraphinePeople are beginning to gather. I will pass on Zumion's teachings to them.
  27. But I'm still not quite ready to welcome them. Daeva, I hate to ask this, but...
  28. Could you help clean up this place for me? There are still many old, worn chests inside.
  29. Thank you so much. Once you're done, take a moment to say hello to the others.
  30. Everyone here came because they want to honor Zumion's legacy. They're all curious to know who you are, Daeva.
  31. Take your time finishing up, then come see me when you're done.
  32. EltiaI'm Eltia. Are you the one who completed Zumion's rites with Seraphine?
  33. I heard the ritual was completed safely thanks to you. I've also been researching Zumion for a long time...
  34. I never imagined Seraphine would actually become a priest. But it warms my heart to learn it was possible.
  35. Did you happen to find any old records or relics inside? I heard there might be some in the trial chamber. Was that true?
  36. Wonderful! I need to look at them right away. Thank you for telling me!
  37. GerardI first heard the name Zumion long ago, back when I wandered back and forth across these ruined lands.
  38. At first, I dismissed it as a forgotten religion. But seeing this place today made me realize I was wrong.
  39. Sacrifice, conviction, and people starting anew... It was all possible because of Daeva like you.
  40. I just had to say thank you. Your courage and devotion gave hope to so many.
  41. I think I'll stay a while longer. I want to remember this feeling for as long as I can.
  42. I hope we meet again someday, and that I, too, can learn to follow Zumion's will.
  43. SeraphineDid you get to talk with everyone? You could tell just by looking that they've waited a long time for this moment.
  44. Asking you to help tidy up... was really just so I had time to prepare a small token of thanks. It's not much, but please accept it.
  45. If it hadn't been for you, I'm not certain I'd have made it to the end. I wouldn't have been able to become a priest if I'd faced the trial alone.
  46. Thanks to you, Zumion's will now resides in me. And... I know that the path I walked up until now wasn't wrong.
  47. From now on, I will walk the path of Zumion. I will have to return her mace, as well.
  48. I will never forget the kindness you have done me. May Zumion's blessings walk with you, Daeva.

An Introduction to Zumion
Beginning of Purification: A ritual to face oneself Those wanting to become a formal priest must begin with self-purification. Those wishing to heal the world must first heal themselves. Deep within the heart of all people lies a shadow we all wish to ignore. Fear, regret, anger, loss, helplessness... They are never the weakness, but truths that have not yet been faced head-on. The ceremonial flame is set ablaze…
