Icy Fortune

Icy Fortune is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Fortune Teller merchant, part of the Knowing The Unknown quest line. The Frost Mountain is known to have piles of treasure, but only the most daring adventurers have ever set their sights on them. That will be no problem for you though! Trust me, I have already seen your success. The objective is to interact with treasure hoard ×1. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Fortune Teller in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing Self Made Luck before it becomes available from Fortune Teller. Completing Icy Fortune rewards 150 Gold, Random Epic Armor, 500 XP, Alchemist Affinity +15. The quest is completed in Ice Cavern. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Fortune Teller quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons. The Knowing The Unknown chain provides a structured progression path through the Fortune Teller quest tree, and finishing each quest in order is the fastest route to the higher value objectives later in the line.
