Judge of the Deep
Judge of the Deep is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Fortune Teller merchant, part of the Paths Whispered by the Tides quest line. The great white shark is both warden and judge of the sea. If you intend to keep venturing out upon the waters, you must beware of them. These beasts show no mercy to those who trespass into their domain. Strike them down before they sink their teeth into you. I know you can do it. The stars shine upon your path. Now go, adventurer... and bring me the spoils of your victory. There are 3 objectives to complete: Bring 1× White Shark Fin; Bring 1× White Shark Hide; Bring 1× White Shark Tooth. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Fortune Teller in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing Traces of the Blessing before it becomes available from Fortune Teller. Completing Judge of the Deep rewards 350 XP, 150 Gold, Random Epic Armor, Random Epic Weapon, 2x Arcane Essence. The quest is completed in Ice Cavern, Goblin Caves, Ruins or Ship Graveyard. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Fortune Teller quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons. The Paths Whispered by the Tides chain provides a structured progression path through the Fortune Teller quest tree, and finishing each quest in order is the fastest route to the higher value objectives later in the line. Use the MetaBot Dark and Darker quest tracker to check all open objectives across every active merchant before extracting, so you can turn in multiple quests from a single run and get the most value out of each session.
