Trial of Worth

Trial of Worth is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Navigator merchant, part of the A Debt to Be Repaid quest line. Each of us has our strengths. I know how to command a ship, but I'm no fighter. That is why I’ve been searching for someone who could stand in my place, someone skilled in both battle and survival. Someone who could help me see my revenge through. Adventurer, will you show me what you’re capable of? The objective is to survive 2 raids. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Navigator in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing Coffins Beneath the Waves before it becomes available from Navigator. Completing Trial of Worth rewards 100 XP, 100 Gold, Random Uncommon Weapon, 2x Arcane Essence, Random Uncommon Armor. The quest is completed in Ship Graveyard. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Navigator quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons. The A Debt to Be Repaid chain provides a structured progression path through the Navigator quest tree, and finishing each quest in order is the fastest route to the higher value objectives later in the line.
