Sanctified Healing

Sanctified Healing is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Surgeon merchant, part of the Methods and Madness quest line. Even as a man of science, I must admit that the power of the divine have their role. I am however curious as to the limits of the gods. I have a simple experiment I’d like you to undertake for me. The objective is to interact with shrine of health ×2. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Surgeon in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing Frost Aid before it becomes available from Surgeon. Completing Sanctified Healing rewards 125 Gold, Random Rare Armor, 2x Arcane Essence, 200 XP. The quest is completed in Ice Cavern. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Surgeon quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons. The Methods and Madness chain provides a structured progression path through the Surgeon quest tree, and finishing each quest in order is the fastest route to the higher value objectives later in the line.
