Lougrim couldn't sleep. Her garou made her a sleeping draft but it wasn't working. Her head was awake with thoughts of tomorrow.
She held her staff on her lap. On occasion, it would gift her a vision: a remnant of the Seer God who owned the staff before her. She passed her palm over every inch of it, over every nook. But no vision came.
It was, of course, its own ill omen. Lougrim put aside the staff and sat up in her bed. She closed her eyes and imagined Kuldra, tried to conjure an image of the dragon on her eyelids. To be awestruck tomorrow was death. She needed to imagine the very worst possible outcome, to become at peace with it.
Lougrim sighed. It was no good. She took up her staff, stepped out of the tent, and looked up to the moon. Something flickered across the face of it. A dragon?
The staff in her hand began to glow as the hour shifted into the next day. Lougrim was gifted her very last vision.
