Sorcerer is an advanced magic class that combines two spells together at memory time to create powerful merged spell combinations. With access to Fire, Ice, Lightning, Air, and Earth elemental spells, Sorcerer offers some of the highest burst damage in the game at the cost of significant complexity and setup time.

What spells can Sorcerer use in Dark and Darker?

Sorcerer has 14 spells available, all of which can be merged in pairs at memory time to create powerful combined effects. Fire Arrow (Tier 1) fires 3 burning projectiles with a fire DoT on each. Glaciate (Tier 1) deals Ice damage and slows the target. Stone Skin (Tier 1) gives +10% physical damage reduction and +10% physical power at the cost of move speed for 12 seconds. Water Bolt (Tier 1) is a quick Ice projectile. Eruption (Tier 2) is an Earth burst. Flamestrike (Tier 2) creates a burning pillar that ticks damage over 1 second. Ice Spear (Tier 2) is a hard-hitting Ice projectile. Windblast (Tier 2) fires an Air projectile that can knock enemies back. Fire Orb (Tier 3) is a slow-moving orb that explodes on contact for high Fire damage with a burn DoT aura. Lightning Bolt (Tier 3) channels a beam of lightning for up to 5 ticks of damage. Levitation (Tier 4) lets you float over obstacles and terrain. Lightning Sphere (Tier 4) releases an AoE lightning burst. Vortex (Tier 4) pulls enemies toward a point. Summon Earth Elemental (Tier 5) calls a powerful elemental to fight for you.

What are Sorcerer's base stats in Dark and Darker?

Sorcerer's starting stats are: Strength 10, Vigor 10, Agility 10, Dexterity 18, Will 25, Knowledge 20, Resourcefulness 12. The class excels in Will and Knowledge (25 and 20 base respectively), with lower values in Strength and Vigor.

How do I build Sorcerer in Dark and Darker?

Will is the most important stat for Sorcerer since it directly scales magical power. Equip whatever gear provides the most Will while maintaining acceptable survivability. Prioritize spell selections that create strong merged combinations. Some of the most popular merged spells right now are Elemental Bolt for reliable ranged damage, Flamefrost Spear for high burst, and Wall of Fire for area denial and zoning. Summon Earth Elemental is also a strong pick as a distraction or to cover a disengage when things get dangerous. Electric Dash is worth considering for mobility since Sorcerer has very limited movement options otherwise.

Is Sorcerer good for solo play in Dark and Darker?

Sorcerer can solo well once you understand your merged spell combinations, since the burst potential from a well-set-up combo can eliminate most enemies before they reach you. The challenge solo is the setup time required to get your merges ready and the lack of self-healing if something goes wrong. Stay at range, prioritize high-burst combos, and avoid situations where enemies can close the gap before you get your spells off.
