Archetyp

Trickster Zoner / Feints and Counters

Loki wins by making his opponent wrong rather than by out-damaging them. Feints on Light, counters on Medium, and a delayed projectile that arms itself near the enemy leader.

FeintsCountersNorn StonesMind games
Obtížnost

Most characters have a mix-up. Loki has a doubt system. Because Illusion branches out of his Light Skills and Misdirection branches out of his Medium ones, the opponent cannot form a clean reaction to either button — pressing a punish into a Medium Skill risks eating a counter, and waiting out a Light Skill risks it having been a feint that is already over.

The Norn Stone is the second layer and it is unusual in a 4v4 game: it is a slow projectile that activates near the opposing leader. In a game where the point character changes constantly through Member Change and Change and Assist, a mine that keys off whoever is currently leading is a genuinely different kind of screen presence — it follows the fight rather than the position.

BranchComes out ofWhat it does
IllusionHis Light SkillsFeint — shows an illusory attack
MisdirectionHis Medium SkillsCounter — puts a copy of Loki in the way
The two branches. Light lies, Medium punishes.
Výhody
  • Illusion and Misdirection attach a feint and a counter to his entire Skill list
  • Norn Stones activate near the opposing leader, so they track the fight not the floor
  • Three Norn Stone placements — standing, crouching and aerial — cover different distances
  • Frigga's Grace attacks around him then teleports out, which is a real escape
  • Lævateinn permanently powers up his sword damage for the round if landed close
Nevýhody
  • His damage is low without the Lævateinn buff — he wins on attrition and reads
  • Feints and counters both lose to an opponent who simply does nothing
  • Norn Stones are slow, so they are setup rather than pressure
  • No Free Flight and no armour — once cornered his tricks run out fast
  • Requires the opponent to be thinking; against someone mashing, half his kit is wasted

Herní plán Loki

Loki plays a longer game than anyone else in MARVEL Tōkon. He is not looking for the opening — he is looking for the moment the opponent starts guessing, because everything he owns gets better once they do.

Neutral. Jotun Mist leaps up and throws out a projectile, with the Medium version freezing on hit — that freeze is your main conversion from range. Serpent Strike fires a projectile upward, and its Medium version adds a second attack if it whiffs, which is an unusual and useful property: a missed anti-air is not a dead one.

Setup. Norn Stone places a slow projectile that activates near the opposing leader, and it comes in three placements — the standing version, the crouching version which puts it on the ground and further away on a diagonal input, and the aerial version which places it from the air at varying distance. Layering two placements at different depths means the opponent is walking through a field rather than past a single mine.

The mind game. Throw a Light Skill, branch into Illusion, and watch what they do to the fake. If they respect it, your real Light Skills get through. If they attack into it, throw a Medium Skill next and branch into Misdirection — the copy of Loki takes the hit and you get the counter. This is a loop you run for the whole round, not a single mix-up.

Escape and meter. Frigga's Grace attacks around himself then teleports out, with Heavy covering ground quickly — that is your answer to being cornered. Laufey's Wrath raises ice pillars and the air version has brief invincibility, making it a legitimate defensive Super. Lævateinn fires a laser and, landed close, powers up his sword damage for the round — which is how a low-damage character becomes a threat late.

Týmová synergie a asisty Loki

Role asistuSetup / disruption assist

A called Loki can place a Norn Stone that then activates near the opposing leader — an assist whose value arrives later and follows whoever is fighting. That delayed payoff makes him a good second or third character rather than a point, since he wants the round to have time in it.

Loki is a strong pick for a team that wants to win on attrition. His Norn Stones keying off the opposing leader interacts unusually well with MARVEL Tōkon's tag system — the opponent swapping characters does not clear the threat, it just changes who it is waiting for.

Matchupy Loki

Loki loses to patience and to chip. Against opponents who refuse to commit, stop fishing for counters — build a Norn Stone field with all three placements, use the Jotun Mist freeze for damage, and prioritise landing Lævateinn close for the sword buff so your attrition game actually threatens something.

Loki attaches a lie and a counter to every Skill he owns — Illusion branches out of his Light Skills, Misdirection branches out of his Medium ones, and the opponent never knows which they are looking at. Loki je Trickster Zoner / Feints and Counters, obtížnost 4 z 5. Jeho určující vlastnosti: Feints, Counters, Norn Stones, Mind games.

Časté dotazy: jak hrát za Loki

How do Illusion and Misdirection work for Loki in MARVEL Tōkon?

They are Loki's two branch moves and they attach to different halves of his Skill list. Illusion is a feint that shows an illusory attack and branches out of his Light Skills. Misdirection is a counter that puts a copy of Loki in the way and branches out of his Medium Skills. The result is that his Light buttons might be lies and his Medium buttons might be traps, so the opponent cannot form a clean reaction to either.

What does the Norn Stone do in MARVEL Tōkon?

Norn Stone is a slow projectile that activates near the opposing leader. It has three placements — standing, crouching (which puts it on the ground, further away on a diagonal input) and aerial (which places it from the air at varying distance). Because it keys off whoever is currently leading rather than a fixed spot, tagging out does not clear the threat — it just changes who the stone is waiting for.

Is Loki hard to play in MARVEL Tōkon?

He is demanding in an unusual way. The execution is moderate, but his entire kit is built on reading the opponent — feints and counters only pay when the opponent is acting. Against a patient blocker, half of Loki's tools do nothing, so you have to recognise that situation and switch to a slower Norn Stone and Jotun Mist game instead.

How does Loki do damage in MARVEL Tōkon?

Two ways. Jotun Mist Medium freezes on hit, which converts a ranged poke into a full combo. And Lævateinn, his Ultimate, permanently powers up his sword damage for the rest of the round if it is landed at close range. That buff is the main fix for his otherwise low damage, so firing Lævateinn from across the screen wastes the most valuable part of it.

What beats Loki in MARVEL Tōkon?

Patience and chip damage. Hulk walks through feints with armour and Misdirection does not stop a throw. Iron Man never has to commit thanks to Free Flight, so there is nothing to counter. Danger beats him with Drill Piercer's chip, which punishes a character whose plan is to wait for a mistake. Against all three, build a Norn Stone field instead of fishing for reads.

Where should Loki go on a MARVEL Tōkon team?

Second or third. His payoff arrives late — Norn Stones are slow to arm, feints need a round of conditioning to work, and the Lævateinn sword buff only matters if there is time left to use it. As an assist he can place a stone that arms near the opposing leader, which is a delayed threat that follows the fight through tag swaps.
