A New Delicacy

A New Delicacy is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Goblin Merchant merchant, part of the Favorite Soft Skin quest line. Hey! You heard about it? That new kind of buzzing bug in the caves! Go squash a few of them for me, will ya? I wanna see if they’ll make good stew meat for this gobbo’s next recipe! Heh heh... Flying skulls are no good for nothin’, but these bugs? Now those are juicy little bundles of nutrition! The objective is to kill 5× death beetle. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Goblin Merchant in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing One Very Hot Bite before it becomes available from Goblin Merchant. Completing A New Delicacy rewards 100 Gold, 2x Arcane Essence, Random Rare Armor, 200 XP. The quest is completed in Goblin Caves. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Goblin Merchant quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons.
