Crate Chaos

Crate Chaos is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Goblin Merchant merchant, part of the Favorite Soft Skin quest line. Me bruddas, always tryna hide me stuff from me. But I know where ta find em. Bash those boxes fer me and I reward ya real nice. The objective is to interact with dwarven small wooden crate ×10. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Goblin Merchant in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing A New Delicacy before it becomes available from Goblin Merchant. Completing Crate Chaos rewards 100 Gold, 4x Arcane Essence, 175 XP. The quest is completed in Goblin Caves. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Goblin Merchant quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons. The Favorite Soft Skin chain provides a structured progression path through the Goblin Merchant quest tree, and finishing each quest in order is the fastest route to the higher value objectives later in the line.
