Behind The Stone is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Treasurer merchant, part of the Beyond Prepared quest line. I have heard stories of a stone door deep below The Forgotten Castle... It is said to hold unimaginable legendary treasures, so, how does a hunt sound? The objective is to interact with double stone door ×1. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Treasurer in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing Gold Rush before it becomes available from Treasurer. Completing Behind The Stone rewards 150 Gold, Random Epic Armor, 350 XP. The quest is completed in Ruins. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Treasurer quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons.
