One Very Hot Bite

One Very Hot Bite is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Goblin Merchant merchant, part of the Gobbo’s Little Trick quest line. Fleshy, bring me a few mushrooms from the burning lands. Those shrooms grow by drinking that bright red water, so they’re hot. Take one bite and your belly goes up in flames. You’ll be groaning for a week. Gobbo’s kind hates hot stuff, see. That’s why I’m gonna let them have a little taste... secretly! The objective is to bring 5× lava mushroom. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Goblin Merchant in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing An Unforgettable Taste before it becomes available from Goblin Merchant. Completing One Very Hot Bite rewards 100 XP, 50 Gold, Random Uncommon Armor, Random Uncommon Weapon. The quest is completed in Ice Cavern, Goblin Caves, Ruins or Ship Graveyard. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Goblin Merchant quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons.
