Clay can be found in deposits around Ashenfall and can be recovered with just a few pickaxe swings. It is said that the Elder God created the universe out of clay, albeit of a more interesting vintage, and the unwanted remains hurled into the abyss. The truth of this claim is hard to establish as the Elder Gods are rarely prone to a friendly chat. Not least because, were you to hear them speak, your head would explode. This makes conversation tricky.
