How to beat Bi Feng, Giant Saber Commander

Our strategy, built from the fight's numbers, followed by the game's own codex entry.

  • Dodge the red flashes: 3 attacks flash red. They can't be parried, so dodge through them instead of blocking.
  • The tightest tell is Great Leaping Cleave: only 0.54s from the flash to the hit, so react to the flash, not the swing.
  • Throat Grab is a grab: dodge it, because blocking and parrying don't stop a grab.
  • Bi Feng, Giant Saber Commander adds new attacks below 15% HP, so expect the moveset to change at 15%.

Bi Feng has no combat stats in the data and no recorded elemental, status or Sha-Chi modifiers, so there is no element to target. Go in with your strongest setup and win through standard Sha-Chi pressure: Parry what you can and push Standard Combos toward a Guard Break.

The codex describes an elite swordsman under Huangxing whose broad, low-hanging straw hat conceals a false face. He wields the Juggernaut, a rough, mottled blade whose every sweeping slash strikes with the force of a falling mountain, so give those swings plenty of respect.

He fights on the Mountain of Imprisonment at level 22, after Iron Butcher, the Frenzied Brute and before Kui Yanyan, the Deranged. No drops are recorded, but he is worth 84,000 Remnant Dust.

Bi Feng, Giant Saber Commander lore

The codex entry the game unlocks for Bi Feng, Giant Saber Commander.

An elite swordsman under Huangxing. His broad, low-hanging straw hat conceals the false face beneath it. He wields the Juggernaut, a rough and mottled blade whose every sweeping slash strikes with the force of a falling mountain.

He once carried his blade across the wastelands, fighting Maskwalkers in bloody battles time and again. But while his blade could cut down every Maskwalker, it could not cut away the corruption and decay of the Mandate’s upper ranks.

They withheld supplies, watched their disciples perish, and indulged themselves while corpses piled up on the front lines. The Mandate’s survival, ideals, and glory were nothing more than pawns in their schemes. With each disappointment, his zeal to defend the Mandate slowly faded.

Until Master Huangxing, one of the Three Pillars of Kunlun, used an iron hand and sword to tear open the stench of corruption within the Encampment, leading his followers to cut away its deep-rooted ills.

The fire in his heart, long dormant, burned anew. The Mandate could still be rebuilt, and that hope was not far away. It lay in the hands of the man he had chosen to follow: Master Huangxing.
