Once a high-ranking mage, Grendal was rejected by her people following a failed attempt to resurrect her deceased lover at the Runadium, the site of his death. Seeking the power to defend his city, Idris was fascinated by the power of Empyrean Lord Israphel and spent his time searching the Abyss for a relic of Israphel's that would allow him to travel between dimensions.
