Lucjan Skawiński ตัวละคร Valor Mortis

I met the first person not infected with the plague since I awoke on the battlefield. This — clearly very educated — gentleman, Lucjan Skawinski, advised me to find other soldiers under the tricolour banner he had seen not so long ago. Sounds like a good plan, especially since I have no alternative...

I met Lucjan again, and this time he was even more enigmatic than before. I'm afraid I'll have to push forward with no clear guidance, which, I suppose, should not be surprising.

I've been trying to find out about these cursed caves from Lucjan. He claims they hold a secret; I'm not particularly surprised. He mentioned that Louis has his own reasons for wanting to explore this place. I am curious as to what they are — I have no doubt Louis will not wish to share his motives with me.

Lucjan urged me to follow the path to the University. He said I would find all the answers I seek there.

Lucjan proposed that crossing to the opposite bank of the river might reveal the truth of the calamity that befell this place. It would be wise, I think, to follow his advice. The fellow speaks almost exclusively in riddles, yet in this wretched reality his riddles are the only certainty I possess.

Upon my return I found our camp abandoned. Only Lucjan remains; yet this time I found myself grateful for his presence. James has departed; Lucjan assures me that he intends to recover what little remains of his dignity. As for Louis, he has apparently taken both his notes and that accursed 'key'. Wherever he has chosen to go, I can only hope that his fate will not be long in finding him.
