How to beat Jade-Face
Our strategy, built from the fight's numbers, followed by the game's own codex entry.
- Parry the blue flashes: 3 of Jade-Face's 15 attacks flash blue before they land, and a timed parry stops them.
- The tightest tell is Clone Slash: only 0.19s from the flash to the hit, so react to the flash, not the swing.
- Jade-Face's Sha-Chi bar is 2,400: perfect parries and Guard Break attacks drain it, and an empty bar opens the boss to a finisher.
Jade-Face has no elemental weakness; Poison and Lightning are both cut by 30%, and Poison, Shock and Bleed build up 30% slower. Bring Fire, Frost or Water, which deal normal damage, and expect Parries to drain 30% less of his Sha-Chi than usual.
His level is a region estimate of 22, giving roughly 135,180 HP and 27,212 Sha-Chi from 9,000 base HP and 2,400 base Sha-Chi, before difficulty.
The codex says he fights alongside two doubles and names three mask styles: Jade Mask with rings and sly, unpredictable movements, Gold Mask with a sword and cunning strikes, and Iron Mask with a blade and brutal force. Feints and true attacks intertwine, so be patient before committing. He follows Kui Yanyan, the Deranged, precedes Huangxing, the Kunlun Renegade and rewards 84,000 Remnant Dust.

Jade-Face lore
The codex entry the game unlocks for Jade-Face.
In-game codexA Maskwalker who repeatedly taunts Soul along the mountain path. He wears a jade mask, its colors gaudy and grotesque. In battle, he can fight alongside two doubles: Jade Mask wields rings with sly, unpredictable movements; Gold Mask wields a sword with cunning strikes; Iron Mask wields a blade with brutal force. Feints and true attacks intertwine, while an eerie grin conceals his deadly intent.
He was sent by Huangxing to monitor Soul’s movements, yet he simply watched with amusement as Soul climbed from the foot of the mountain to its peak. His bizarre and unpredictable nature is unlike the others under Huangxing. Combined with his eclectic martial arts and strange techniques, he may even share the same origins as Thread-Binding... Just what role does this man play under Huangxing?
Yet the battle in the shrine did not seem to defeat him completely. Perhaps this was the contingency he had kept in reserve.
