How to beat Mu Xiaokui, Queen of Iron and Jade
Our strategy, built from the fight's numbers, followed by the game's own codex entry.
- Parry the blue flashes: 2 of Mu Xiaokui, Queen of Iron and Jade's 19 attacks flash blue before they land, and a timed parry stops them.
- Dodge the red flashes: 4 attacks flash red. They can't be parried, so dodge through them instead of blocking.
- The tightest tell is Flying Sword Combo: only 0.38s from the flash to the hit, so react to the flash, not the swing.
- Aerial Grab Throw is a grab: dodge it, because blocking and parrying don't stop a grab.
- Mu Xiaokui, Queen of Iron and Jade adds new attacks below 80% HP, so expect the moveset to change at 80%.
- Mu Xiaokui, Queen of Iron and Jade's Sha-Chi bar is 2,400: perfect parries and Guard Break attacks drain it, and an empty bar opens the boss to a finisher.
Neutral to every element and status, Mu Xiaokui, Queen of Iron and Jade is beaten by steady Sha-Chi pressure. Parries drain 40% less of her Sha-Chi and hitting her guard drains 30% less, so wait for openings and land full Standard Combos rather than attacking into her block.
She is tougher than her first form, Mu Xiaokui, Young Mistress of the Order (boss #29): 12,000 base HP, roughly 56,300 at level 8, with about 7,540 Sha-Chi, before difficulty.
The codex says the techniques taught by Jade Dancer and Iron Fiend come together in her, advancing and retreating without leaving an opening. The rewards are substantial: 26,000 Remnant Dust, two weapons in the Wild Oriole Sword and the Fiend Saws, plus Puppet No. 44's Eye and Fist Fragment: Core. Blaze, Shadow Warden Captain in Pangzhen is next.

Mu Xiaokui, Queen of Iron and Jade lore
The codex entry the game unlocks for Mu Xiaokui, Queen of Iron and Jade.
In-game codexYears ago, she and Soul made a promise: if they ever crossed blades, neither would hold back. In this fight, she moves like lightning, advancing and retreating without leaving an opening. Power gathers in both arms, every strike solid and controlled. The techniques taught by Jade Dancer and Iron Fiend come together in her, making her nearly unstoppable.
She carefully sorts through her grief over her father's death, the mystery of Soul's sudden departure, the changes brewing within the Order, and the concern of those around her. She forces herself to stay calm and make the right judgment.
Once the Order's affairs are settled, she resolves to meet Soul face to face and demand an answer. She will fight him with everything she has, so he understands just how angry and unsettled she is by his secrecy, his leaving without a word, and his self righteous insistence on carrying everything alone.
When blades clash and sparks fly, everything seems to freeze for an instant. In that moment, she finds her answer. The person before her is still the Soul she once knew. Like her, he has not changed.
Even if he refuses to explain, she will find the truth and the answers herself.
