Is it you? is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Tavern Master merchant, part of the A Toast to Fate quest line. Once, those skeletons were men, brave warriors who swore to protect this kingdom. But the king's hunger for darkness twisted everything. Their souls were bound by a curse, left to wander without rest. There is a prophecy, they say, that a 'chosen one' will break the curse and grant them peace. I once believed I could be that person, but it proved to be a difficult path. Regardless, someone must put an end to this curse. Whether that someone is you or not... there's no harm in trying. There are 3 objectives to complete: Kill 1× Skeleton Archer; Kill 1× Skeleton Footman; Kill 1× Skeleton Guardsman. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Tavern Master in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing What Matters Most before it becomes available from Tavern Master. Completing Is it you? rewards 30 Gold, 3x Protection Potion, 3x Healing Potion, 25 XP. The quest is completed in Crypts. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Tavern Master quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons. The A Toast to Fate chain provides a structured progression path through the Tavern Master quest tree, and finishing each quest in order is the fastest route to the higher value objectives later in the line.
