One winter, there was an accident. The ice on the lake was thin. Alin fell through it. I saw it… but I froze, I couldn’t do anything. And then, when I finally… It was too late.
That day – it was a turning point. Mother has never recovered. None of us have, actually. I know I could have helped him. He would be alive now.
