First they tore down our temple, took us under their boots... And they kept doing it – again and again. They made us wander across the world, ceaselessly looking for a place to stay and never finding one.

'Fine,' we said. 'We'll manage.'

Then, centuries later, others took us in. They needed doctors, merchants, and the money we lent them. But only for a while. Soon we became the answer to all their angry questions. 'Who poisoned the well? Who kidnapped the missing child? Who is responsible for my ill-being? And who brought the plague on us?!' It was always us. And what if it was someone else? 'Doesn't matter – they MADE him do it, isn't that obvious?!'

'Fine,' we said once again. 'We'll go somewhere else.'

But there came a time when there was nowhere else to go. No place was safe anymore. All we could do was stay where we happened to be and pray that no one would want to burn us all for some new calamity – real or imaginary.

And that's who we are now – both in Vale Sangora and everywhere else.

'Fine,' we say. 'We'll manage no matter what.'
