How to beat Lei Dang, One-Armed Tiger
Our strategy, built from the fight's numbers, followed by the game's own codex entry.
- Parry the blue flashes: 1 of Lei Dang, One-Armed Tiger's 26 attacks flash blue before they land, and a timed parry stops them.
- Dodge the red flashes: 4 attacks flash red. They can't be parried, so dodge through them instead of blocking.
- The tightest tell is Double Punch: only 0.47s from the flash to the hit, so react to the flash, not the swing.
- Close Grab Slam is a grab: dodge it, because blocking and parrying don't stop a grab.
- Lei Dang, One-Armed Tiger adds new attacks below 60% HP, so expect the moveset to change at 60%.
- Bring Frost: it deals 16% more damage to Lei Dang, One-Armed Tiger.
- Poison builds up 16% faster on Lei Dang, One-Armed Tiger.
- Lei Dang, One-Armed Tiger's Sha-Chi bar is 2,400: perfect parries and Guard Break attacks drain it, and an empty bar opens the boss to a finisher.
Lei Dang's second form changes his profile. Poison and Frost now deal 16% more damage, with Poison building 16% faster and Frost lasting 16% longer, while Lightning drops to 30% less damage and 30% slower Shock. Fire is cut by 30% and Water by 60%, so swap Lightning for Poison or Frost.
Heed the codex hint: if he leaps high into the air and crashes down with the force of thunder, use the terrain to get clear, as that is the only way to avoid the attack. The codex also describes punches that send waves of power slicing forward and ground slams that throw you off balance.
He has 10,000 base HP and 2,400 base Sha-Chi, about 155,200 HP and 27,930 Sha-Chi at level 23 before difficulty, and Parries drain 30% less of his Sha-Chi. He follows Lei Dang, the Tiger Cannon (boss #68), precedes The Crusher and the Saw, and pays 150,000 Remnant Dust.

Lei Dang, One-Armed Tiger lore
The codex entry the game unlocks for Lei Dang, One-Armed Tiger.
In-game codexHaving cast aside the Tiger Cannon, Lei Dang unleashes a ferocious one-armed fighting style. His punches strike with enough force to shake the mountains, sending waves of power slicing forward like blades. He can also slam the ground with tremendous force, throwing his opponent off balance and leaving them exposed. If he leaps high into the air and crashes down with the force of thunder, the only way to avoid the attack is to use the terrain to get clear.
Lei Dang now knows that what he took was the true Trickster’s medicine. Every part of Leng Tu’s scheme was connected, and everyone caught in it had been trapped from the very beginning. But Soul may be the one exception, the only variable in a predetermined outcome, and the last hope for countless ordinary people. He may also be the one who can secure the Radiant Heart for Shadow Sovereign Zuo.
And if Lei Dang can face his old friend Soul, the renowned former Shadow Edict “Blackscar,” in one final fight before he dies, he will have no regrets.
