How to beat Yubi, No. 21 Swordfighter Puppet
Our strategy, built from the fight's numbers, followed by the game's own codex entry.
- Parry the blue flashes: 3 of Yubi, No. 21 Swordfighter Puppet's 26 attacks flash blue before they land, and a timed parry stops them.
- Dodge the red flashes: 2 attacks flash red. They can't be parried, so dodge through them instead of blocking.
- The tightest tell is Great Windmill Spin: only 0.37s from the flash to the hit, so react to the flash, not the swing.
- Yubi, No. 21 Swordfighter Puppet adds new attacks below 85%, 50% HP, so expect the moveset to change at 85%.
- Yubi, No. 21 Swordfighter Puppet's Sha-Chi bar is 2,400: perfect parries and Guard Break attacks drain it, and an empty bar opens the boss to a finisher.
Yubi has no weaknesses and is immune to Lightning and Blood damage as well as Shock and Bleed, so bring any other element and win through steady Guard Break pressure. Parries drain 40% less of her Sha-Chi than usual, making Standard Combos the more reliable way to break her guard.
This puppet has 10,000 base HP and 2,400 base Sha-Chi, about 122,090 HP and 21,527 Sha-Chi at level 19 before difficulty.
The codex calls her a Vessel-class Swordfighter Puppet with bladed lower legs, built from material harder than refined iron, wielding a pair of Stormswords with wind and thunder following their strikes. She comes after Wu Lengshuang, the Soft Sword and before Stone Hand Iron Fever. No drops are recorded, but she pays a hefty 110,000 Remnant Dust per kill.

Yubi, No. 21 Swordfighter Puppet lore
The codex entry the game unlocks for Yubi, No. 21 Swordfighter Puppet.
In-game codexA "Vessel-class" Swordfighter Puppet with bladed lower legs, built from material harder than refined iron and crafted with exquisite precision. Bi Taotao’s former features still linger in its face, her black hair flowing as before, with a pair of Stormswords in hand, wind and thunder following their strikes.
Taking charge of the Baishan Sect feels like only yesterday. Back then, she cast aside her timidity and vowed to weather every storm for the sect and restore it to its former glory.
When word came that Huangxing was pushing Perfect Transcension, Bi Taotao rushed to the Mandate Encampment overnight to demand an explanation. Instead, she walked into a trap that closed in from both sides.
She believed they still honored the rules of the righteous path. She believed compromise could protect her disciples. In the end, nothing was saved. Her treasured memories were drawn out one by one, leaving her hollow before she was forced into a puppet’s body. The Stormswords remained in her hands, but only emptiness remained within. The wreckage on the training ground fills her with sorrow, only for her to quickly forget why she feels sorrow at all.
In the end, she knows only that she has forgotten something deeply important. Even as she suffers from that loss, that memory too is suddenly taken from her.
