Frosty Encounters is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Leathersmith merchant, part of the Learning The Truth quest line. The Frost Mountain is crawling with angry little Kobolds and animated Skeletons! If you can help clear the place up I might have something for you... also... bring back proof of your work. There are 2 objectives to complete: Bring 2× Bone; Bring 2× Kobold Ear. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Leathersmith in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing Oaken Up before it becomes available from Leathersmith. Completing Frosty Encounters rewards 100 Gold, Random Rare Weapon, 200 XP. The quest is completed in Ice Cavern, Goblin Caves, Ruins or Ship Graveyard. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post.
