Warlord's Bane

Warlord's Bane is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Leathersmith merchant, part of the Midnight Stories quest line. You’ve proven yourself worthy of a task I once deemed unspeakable. The fallen warlord who haunts the Crypts with his deathly grip has revealed himself once more. I cannot say how much longer his presence will endure, now is the time to act! The objective is to kill 1× skeleton warlord. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Leathersmith in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing Dukes of the Dead before it becomes available from Leathersmith. Completing Warlord's Bane rewards 150 Gold, Random Epic Armor, 1,000 XP. The quest is completed in Crypts. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Leathersmith quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons. The Midnight Stories chain provides a structured progression path through the Leathersmith quest tree, and finishing each quest in order is the fastest route to the higher value objectives later in the line.
