Tales of Power

Tales of Power is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Weaponsmith merchant, part of the Remember Your Heritage quest line. Let me tell you more. My great-grandfather once ventured into Frost Mountain, drawn by tales of a sword of great power. It was said to be forged by the same Dwarves who taught him their craft. If this sword is real, it could be the key to completing his legacy—and mine. Find it, and I’ll finally understand what he couldn’t. The objective is to explore pyramid. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Weaponsmith in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing Forbidden Craft before it becomes available from Weaponsmith. Completing Tales of Power rewards 100 Gold, Random Rare Weapon, 200 XP. The quest is completed in Ice Cavern. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Weaponsmith quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons. The Remember Your Heritage chain provides a structured progression path through the Weaponsmith quest tree, and finishing each quest in order is the fastest route to the higher value objectives later in the line. Use the MetaBot Dark and Darker quest tracker to check all open objectives across every active merchant before extracting, so you can turn in multiple quests from a single run and get the most value out of each session.

You’ve found it. This sword... it’s more than I expected. I can feel its power, but it’s not just a weapon—it’s tied to something darker... We”ll have to travel back to the swords resting place and unveil its tainted history. Maybe those forsaken frost spiders guarding it that have plagued my lineage for centuries will give us a clue.
