Astegon is one of the Pals that can hold a fight on both sides of the exchange: 100 base HP and 125 defense sit alongside 125 attack, so it stays useful as a combat partner long after the early Paldex fills out. Its damage is ranged-weighted — 125 ranged attack against 100 melee — so Astegon hits hardest when it can keep its distance and let its own moves do the work.
