A Pal that can easily take flight even while grasping a human. It is, however, prone to letting go when tired, which has led to the sudden demise of more than a few souls.
Galeclaw is a glass cannon in Palworld terms — 120 attack is well clear of the Paldex average, but 75 base HP and 60 defense leave very little margin, so it wants to be swapped in for burst rather than left out to trade. Its damage is melee-weighted — 120 melee attack against 85 ranged — so Galeclaw does its best work up close and loses value the further away the fight happens. Its defining number is Melee Attack at 120: that is the top 5% of the entire Paldex, and it is the reason to build around Galeclaw at all. The obvious hole is Defense at 60, in the bottom 3% of the Paldex, so pair Galeclaw with a partner or a passive skill that covers it before taking it into a tower boss fight.
Elementally, Galeclaw is Neutral, which carries no offensive advantage of its own while still taking extra damage from Dark attacks — its matchups come down to raw stats and move choice. It is cheap to keep. A food value of 2 is one of the lowest in the Paldex, so Galeclaw works a full shift without draining the feed box the way a large Pal does.
Galeclaw is a specialist: Gathering is the only work suitability it has, at level 2, so it goes into a base for exactly one station and nothing else. That ranks Galeclaw #52 of the 109 Pals with Gathering, so it will do the job, but it is not the Pal you keep the station for.
Every one of those levels sits at 2 or below, so Galeclaw pays for itself in the field, as a mount or a combat partner, rather than at a base station.
