Despite its appearance, Kitsun is extremely sensitive and will flee into a cave when spooked. Long ago, it was considered an ill omen if one ran away from you.
Kitsun lands in the upper half of the Paldex with 100 base HP, 115 attack and 100 defense — no single number carries it, but nothing on the stat sheet is a liability either. Its damage is ranged-weighted — 115 ranged attack against 70 melee — so Kitsun hits hardest when it can keep its distance and let its own moves do the work. Its defining number is Support at 110: that is the top 5% of the entire Paldex, and it is the reason to build around Kitsun at all. The obvious hole is Melee Attack at 70, in the bottom 7% of the Paldex, so pair Kitsun with a partner or a passive skill that covers it before taking it into a tower boss fight.
Elementally, Kitsun is Fire: it takes extra damage from Water attacks and deals extra damage to Ice and Grass Pals — the matchup that decides most of its Alpha and tower fights. Stamina of 140 is high for a mount, which matters more than raw speed on a long ride: Kitsun holds its 1100 sprint far longer before it has to drop back to a walk.
Kitsun is a specialist: Kindling is the only work suitability it has, at level 3, so it goes into a base for exactly one station and nothing else. That ranks Kitsun #26 of the 44 Pals with Kindling, so it will do the job, but it is not the Pal you keep the station for.
