How to beat The Hunt, Sixfold Scythe
Our strategy, built from the fight's numbers, followed by the game's own codex entry.
- Parry the blue flashes: 4 of The Hunt, Sixfold Scythe's 24 attacks flash blue before they land, and a timed parry stops them.
- Dodge the red flashes: 4 attacks flash red. They can't be parried, so dodge through them instead of blocking.
- The tightest tell is Strafing Hook Barrage: only 0.19s from the flash to the hit, so react to the flash, not the swing.
- Chain Hook Grab is a grab: dodge it, because blocking and parrying don't stop a grab.
- The Hunt, Sixfold Scythe adds new attacks below 80%, 70%, 60% HP, so expect the moveset to change at 80%.
- Bring Lightning: it deals 30% more damage to The Hunt, Sixfold Scythe.
- Shock builds up 30% faster on The Hunt, Sixfold Scythe.
- The Hunt, Sixfold Scythe's Sha-Chi bar is 2,000: perfect parries and Guard Break attacks drain it, and an empty bar opens the boss to a finisher.
As in the Prologue, Lightning is the way to beat The Hunt, Sixfold Scythe: it deals 30% more damage and Shock builds 30% faster. Fire and Poison are resisted by 30%, Burn, Poison and Bleed build 30% slower, and Blood Burst builds 60% slower.
At level 4 he has roughly 20,600 HP and 3,570 Sha-Chi by calculation, before difficulty modifiers. He has no Sha-Chi resistances, so Parries and Standard Combos work at full strength.
The codex describes two steel arms unfolding from his back to wield a second pair of chain sickles, with all four scythes sometimes sent flying at once and the ability to strike back even in retreat. Keep your spacing deliberate.
This rematch with The Hunt, Hunter of the Order (boss #3) pays 20,000 Remnant Dust and drops Sanguine again plus the Hunter's Chain Sickle Phantom Edge. Hua, Deadly Betrothed comes next.

The Hunt, Sixfold Scythe lore
The codex entry the game unlocks for The Hunt, Sixfold Scythe.
In-game codexHis flesh and armor lie torn open, yet his ruined body does not fall. Through the bloody mist, two steel arms unfold from the Hunt's back and grasp another pair of gleaming chain sickles. His four arms strike in turn or send all four scythes flying at once, extending and recoiling without pattern. Their pull can shake the earth and raise blasts of force. Even in retreat, he can strike back to kill.
Such is the extraordinary result of Transcension applied to the Order's Shadow Wardens: monsters that remain faithful to the new Shadow Sovereign, however grotesque their alterations.
The Hunt does not notice the ceaseless demand for slaughter screaming through his mind. Butchering Maskwalkers and Mandate fighters brings no satisfaction... He blames his quarry. This Master Soul is more troublesome than any before him, and must surely offer greater pleasure in the hunt. Yet is the hunter himself not prey to his own desires?
