Damned Survivor

Damned Survivor is a Dark and Darker quest assigned by the Armourer merchant, part of the Second Chances quest line. I’m dealing with something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. My wife was taken—pulled from me by a dark force that I couldn’t fight. I thought I’d never see her again. But she’s back, though not in the way I’d hoped. Things were done to her—things that should never happen to anyone. I’ve spoken to someone who may have answers, but first, I need to gather certain items, things that might help us help her. There are 2 objectives to complete: Kill 2× Giant Dragonfly; Kill 2× Zombie. All progress requires a successful extraction — items retrieved or kills made during a failed run do not count toward quest completion. Once every objective is fulfilled, return to Armourer in the lobby to turn in the quest and receive the reward. This quest requires completing Forged From Ruin before it becomes available from Armourer. Completing Damned Survivor rewards 50 Gold, Random Uncommon Weapon, 50 XP. The quest is completed in Crypts. Merchant quests in Dark and Darker are one of the most consistent gold and experience sources in the game, independent of loot luck on the Trading Post. Completing the full Armourer quest chain unlocks higher reward tiers and increases merchant affinity, which can affect prices and open additional quest tiers in future seasons. The Second Chances chain provides a structured progression path through the Armourer quest tree, and finishing each quest in order is the fastest route to the higher value objectives later in the line.
