Good Home step by step

9 markers cover an area to search rather than an exact spot.
- Enter the burrowDay & Night
Guided by the lights and fairy rings, I arrived at a suspicious looking burrow in the forest. I could check what's inside.
- Investigate the burrow2 time unitsDay & Night
I've entered the strange burrow, and it seems bigger than expected. Let's see what's going on in here.
Pinned on the map - Talk to HeileDay & Night
I told little Heile I couldn't help her find her brother, but I suppose, if I change my mind, I could find her, and tell her I'll do it after all.
Pinned on the map — pin 2 - Investigate Oghasti1 time unitDay & Night
In order to help Heile find her brother, I need to investigate Oghasti – the little village their family is from.
Search area on the mapStuck here? Oghasti, the Wooden Palace and the burner camp are optionalSteps 4 to 7 gather background on Tonis but the quest does not need them: you can go straight to the charcoal burners' camp and on to Tonis. Skipping them only changes some later dialogue.
- Investigate the Wooden Palace2 time unitsDay & Night
Heile said Tonis might be spending time at a place they called the 'Wooden Palace'. I should check it out.
Search area on the map - Find the source of the smokeDay & Night
I saw some smoke rising to the sky not far away from the Wooden Palace – maybe someone over there will have heard of Tonis?
Pinned on the map - Ask about Tonis in the burner campDay & Night
I've arrived at a charcoal burners's camp. I should see if anyone here can tell me where Tonis is.
Pinned on the map — pin 6 - Talk with TonisDay & Night
Tonis is working in seclusion, in a little camp not far from the main hub. I should talk to him.
- Follow the marked trees to find TonisDay & Night
Tonis is designating trees for chopping down. I can find his little camp easily by following the ones he marked.
Search area on the mapStuck here? Where Tonis is, and how to get him talkingFrom the charcoal burners' camp, follow the trees marked with an X north-east to a lone campfire. Offering him a drink gets him talking at no cost on the story clock — carry a beer or a bottle of wine before you go. Helping with his work (step 10) also works but spends extra time.
- Help Tonis with his workDay & Night
Perhaps if I help Tonis with his work, he might feel more inclined to have a chat with me.
- Investigate Heile and Tonis's house1 time unitDay & Night
I found what looks like the house Heile described. Tonis should be living here, but it seems to have been abandoned for a good while. What happened in this place?
Search area on the map — pin 4 - Collect three shiny teeth from dead human enemiesDay & Night
The sanzhani, living in the forest burrow, asked me to bring them three spotless teeth. Tall order, but with some luck, I could probably find them on my dead enemies... ugh.
Stuck here? Three shiny teethThe Sanzhani Tsarina only releases Heile for three teeth (Shiny Tooth). They drop from dead human enemies — loot bodies until you hold three, then return to the burrow for step 13.
- Talk to the sanzhani Tsarina2 time unitsDay & Night
I should return to the burrow and talk to the sanzhani Tsarina.
- Meet up with Tonis by the burrowTime-sensitiveDay & Night
I've told Tonis about Heile and the burrow – we agreed to meet near the entrance.
Pinned on the map — pin 2 - Tell Heile that Tonis is dead1 time unitDay & Night
Heile's older brother, Tonis, is dead. I should let the girl know...
Pinned on the map — pin 2 - Follow the lightsDay & Night
Suspicious lights have appeared on my path, marking the mushroom fairy rings... as if trying to lead me somewhere? I could follow them to see what's going on.
Pinned on the map — pin 2Stuck here? Finding the burrowThe lights are glowing mushroom rings north of the Sandy Gorge fast-travel shrine. Follow them to the burrow and crouch to get inside — that is where you meet Heile.
- Search for Tonis around the campDay & Night
With the charcoal burners dead I had no choice but to arduously look for Tonis in the vicinity of the camp.
Pinned on the map — pin 6 - Check the body for clues about TonisDay & Night
The man I killed... Could this be Tonis, Heile's older brother?

Which ending you get, and how
Two endings are decided in one conversation at the burrow once Tonis is with you; a third only happens if Tonis dies, and the failure ending is the coronation deadline running out first.
- Ending 1
I convinced the creatures to let little Heile go back to her brother in the Burner's Clearing
Rewards: 250 XP, 1 skill point(s)
How to get it: Take Tonis's side — Heile belongs with her brother — and accept the Tsarina's price. Collect three teeth (Shiny Tooth) from dead human enemies, hand them over, and Heile leaves the burrow with Tonis.
Pick this if: The full version of the story, with an errand in the middle. Same reward as letting her stay.
- Ending 2
I convinced Tonis to let little Heile stay in the burrow with the creatures caring for her. They'll be able to meet once a month.
Rewards: 250 XP, 1 skill point(s)
How to get it: Let the sanzhani keep her: convince Tonis to leave without Heile. The quest ends on the spot, and the sanzhani say the two can meet once a month.
Pick this if: The quickest finish — nothing to collect, and the reward is the same as the longer route.
- Ending 3
Tonis died, leaving little Heile with nowhere else to go.
Rewards: 100 XP, 1 skill point(s)
How to get it: Reached when the charcoal burners' camp has been wiped out and you find Tonis's body instead of him (the journal's steps 17 and 18). It pays less than the other two, and published walkthroughs do not describe what triggers it.
- Ending 4Failure
I didn't have the time to help the siblings deal with the creatures in the burrow. I have to deal with Brencis, right now.
How to get it: The deadline: the 30 days end before you settle things at the burrow.
