Full text of Dad's Letter
Milli, love, I cannot find Grumble.
I could’ve sworn I heard him barking at dawn, so I ran out of bed, and tried to give chase, barefoot, not even taking the time to dress. But as soon as I reached the woods, there was nothing there and the barking stopped, too.
I searched for him, love, I swear, and I won’t give up that easily. But I’m going away on business for a week now. Please, do not wander into the woods on your own. It is not a safe place.
When I’m back, we’ll search again.
