This contract was agreed upon by Knyaz Brencis, the sole and rightful ruler of Vale Sangora, and Yaromil of Parlita, the Houndmaster at Greifberg Castle, in Anno Domini 1349, in the presence of witnesses signed below, and stipulates what follows:
Yaromil of Parlita is to track down and fell Coen of Laslea, son of Pieter, the most despicable ruffian and enemy of the good people of Vale Sangora. He had broken into the dungeon where notorious killers had been kept to ensure the safety of the innocents, and he had set them all free so that they could rampage and sow chaos in the community once more.
Yaromil shan't rest, or undertake other obligations, until this is accomplished.
Upon presenting proof of the deed, namely the villain's severed head, Knyaz Brencis solemnly vows to reward him thusly:
– Yaromil of Parlita is to be turned into a vrakhir, by Knyaz Brencis himself, within a fortnight of completing this contract. Every care is to be taken to ensure that the tooth is lodged soundly in the centre of Yaromil's heart, so that the transformation shall be full and complete.
May God the Almighty, watching from the red skies beyond, strike either party dead shall it break any of the above commitments.
