MetaBot Desktop is a free League of Legends overlay app for Windows that puts the site's build and matchup data directly on top of your game. Instead of alt-tabbing to look up runes or a counter tip, the Recommended Build overlay appears during champ select with the highest-win-rate setup for your exact matchup, and the Matchup Assistant flags power spikes and threats while you lane.

In game, the overlay stays useful without being noisy: Objective Timers warn you before Dragon and Baron spawn, the Team Gold Bar shows the real state of the game beyond the kill score, Win Condition tells you what your team needs to do to close, and CS Pacing benchmarks your farming against players at your rank in real time. Everything is rebuilt from millions of ranked matches every patch, so the advice on your screen matches the meta you're actually playing in.

Yes — completely free. Every overlay, the AI Coach, match recording, and the desktop-exclusive tools are all included with no trial, no premium tier, and no locked features. It runs on the same data platform as metabot.gg.

Is the overlay allowed by Riot? Does it work with Vanguard?

Yes. MetaBot Desktop is built on Overwolf, which operates within Riot's official third-party guidelines. The app never reads game memory or modifies game files — it only uses data Riot makes available — so it is fully compatible with Riot Vanguard and safe for your account.

How does the overlay work during a League match?

The app detects champ select through the League client and shows the Recommended Build for your pick and matchup. Once you load in, the Objective Timers, Team Gold Bar, Win Condition, and CS Pacing overlays render on top of the game. Each overlay can be toggled, moved, or hidden with a hotkey.

Will the overlay lower my FPS?

The overlay is designed to be lightweight and hardware-accelerated, with minimal impact in testing. You can also disable individual overlays if you want the absolute minimum footprint during ranked games.
