With a distinct aroma, leather armour became very popular with warriors and hunters, as well as a few villagers, but that’s another story. Leather, when properly layered and cured, can turn away both the claws of a beast and the blades of an assailant.
Some craftsmen would create more elaborate armour, trading functionality for impressive style. With the discovery of anima twisted plants that existed in vibrant hues, new dyes were crafted, allowing for colourful and eye-catching armour. This would prove problematic when attempting to be camouflaged on the hunt. Many a colourful set of armour would be found in tattered shreds in the woods. The owner of the armour lost to the wilds.
