Onyx Gem
A rare and precious gem, coveted by jewelers.
Journal Entry: Onyx
Onyx is a glittering black stone that is worth more money then most mainland families will see in their entire lifespans. Wars have been fought over these gemstones.
Small wars, not worth recording in history, but wars all the same.
Before Forinthry was reduced to rubble, there were two noble families that entered into a great vendetta over the 'Blood Onyx': a stone so rare and valuable that they believed it was divine proof of royalty. The families destroyed each other in a desperate bid to claim it for themselves.
It’s lost now, deep in the dusty wilderness, and will likely never sparkle in the sun again.
