Ashenfall was the first place that Guthix created runes, but he never passed those secrets on to his followers. It wasn’t until the legendary human, V, discovered the secret, that it was taught to the general population.
Still, something about Ashenfall makes the process easier. No altars are needed, nor talisman’s required, yet runes can be crafted with an abundance that would make the mainland guild’s jealous.
This ring taps into that ease, infusing the soul with some of that ancient knowledge of the island. Be careful sleeping with this on, as you may dream the memories of runecrafters past.
Or of a dog made of cheese. No one knows why.
