If you find Nox hair in your bedding, you should leave it where it lays and leave immediately. Picking it up is a one-way-ticket to a never ending night.
Nox earns its slot away from combat. 85 attack and 75 base HP are ordinary for the Paldex, but its support and crafting numbers are among the better ones in the game, and that is where the value of catching it sits. Its damage is ranged-weighted — 85 ranged attack against 70 melee — so Nox hits hardest when it can keep its distance and let its own moves do the work. Its defining number is Support at 140: that is the top 1% of the entire Paldex, and it is the reason to build around Nox at all. The obvious hole is Melee Attack at 70, in the bottom 7% of the Paldex, so pair Nox with a partner or a passive skill that covers it before taking it into a tower boss fight.
Elementally, Nox is Dark: it takes extra damage from Dragon attacks and deals extra damage to Neutral Pals — the matchup that decides most of its Alpha and tower fights. It is cheap to keep. A food value of 1 is one of the lowest in the Paldex, so Nox works a full shift without draining the feed box the way a large Pal does.
Nox is a specialist: Gathering is the only work suitability it has, at level 1, so it goes into a base for exactly one station and nothing else. That ranks Nox #81 of the 109 Pals with Gathering, so it will do the job, but it is not the Pal you keep the station for.

Wild Nox spawn between level 4 and level 15, so the ones you meet late in a run hit noticeably harder than the first you catch. Nox is nocturnal, so it is awake and easiest to track down at night. Beyond open-world spawns, Nox also turns up in dungeons.
