Nuke Smokes & Lineups FAQ

How many smoke lineups are there for Nuke?

Valve's official in-game guide for Nuke contains 4 grenade lineups, including Outside Smoke Wall, Garage Smoke, Unbreakable Smoke. Each one is shown above with its throw position, aim point and landing spot; 3 of them are jump-throws.

How do I practise Nuke smokes in CS2?

Start a private match on Nuke, enable sv_cheats 1, then use sv_infinite_ammo 1 and sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_pipreview 1 to preview where each grenade will land before you throw it. Stand on the marked position, line up the aim point and repeat until the throw is consistent.

What is a jump-throw in CS2?

A jump-throw releases the grenade at the top of a jump, which sends it further than a standing throw. 3 of the 4 Nuke lineups use one: jump and release the grenade in the same moment, and practise until it lands in the same spot every time.
