Valve publishes these drop chances for CS2 weapon cases, and they are the same for every case. Only the number of items that share each rarity changes from case to case. A Covert skin drops about once every 156 opens and a knife or gloves about once every 385.

Valve's published odds give a rare special item (a knife or gloves) a 0.26% chance per case, about 1 in 385 opens. Covert skins drop 0.64% of the time, Classified 3.20%, Restricted 15.98% and Mil-Spec 79.92%. These odds are the same for every weapon case.

What is the newest CS2 case?

The newest weapon case in the game files is the Fever Case. Its Covert skins are AWP | Printstream, FAMAS | Bad Trip.

How many CS2 cases have knives?

34 of the 42 weapon cases have a knife as their rare special item. Use the Knife cases filter above to list them, then open a case to see exactly which knife types it can drop.

Which CS2 cases drop gloves?

7 cases drop gloves as their rare special item. The newest of them is the Revolution Case. Gloves are never StatTrak™, but otherwise they follow the same 0.26% rare special odds as knives.

What are the odds of a StatTrak™ drop?

Each weapon or knife you unbox has a 10% chance to be StatTrak™, on top of the rarity roll. A StatTrak™ Covert is therefore about 0.064% per case. Gloves can never be StatTrak™.

Is the case opening simulator free?

Yes. The simulator on every case page is free, needs no account and uses only Valve's published odds. It opens nothing real: no keys, no items, no money. It shows how rarely the top tiers actually drop.
