Bands with too few recorded player-matches are left out rather than shown with unreliable averages. Win rate sits near 50% in every band because matchmaking pairs players of similar rating.

Methodology: each player's most recent Premier CS Rating, taken from the scoreboards of Premier matches recorded by the MetaBot Desktop app (1,192 distinct players, snapshot Oct 8, 2026). Bots and test matches are excluded. This is a sample of MetaBot users and their lobbies, not Valve's official leaderboard.

FACEIT levels and Elo ranges

FACEIT runs its own ladder, separate from Valve's Premier CS Rating: ten skill levels set by your FACEIT Elo. Your level moves up or down as soon as your Elo crosses a boundary.

  1. Level 1100–500 Elo
  2. Level 2501–750 Elo
  3. Level 3751–900 Elo
  4. Level 4901–1,050 Elo
  5. Level 51,051–1,200 Elo
  6. Level 61,201–1,350 Elo
  7. Level 71,351–1,530 Elo
  8. Level 81,531–1,750 Elo
  9. Level 91,751–2,000 Elo
  10. Level 102,001+ Elo

Elo ranges as published by FACEIT. The top 1,000 players inside Level 10 are shown as Challenger.

Across 1,192 players seen in MetaBot-recorded Premier lobbies, the median CS Rating is 10,941 and the top 10% start at 17,388. Blue is the most common colour, holding 40.4% of players. From Grey to Purple, the average K/D rises from 0.97 to 1.03 and headshot percentage from 37.8% to 45.6%.

CS2 ranks FAQ (October 2026)

What is a good CS Rating in CS2 Premier?

Among 1,192 players seen in MetaBot-recorded Premier lobbies, the median CS Rating is 10,941. A rating of 13,804 puts you in the top 25%, 17,388 in the top 10% and 23,412 in the top 1%. Anything above the median is better than most players you will queue with.

What do the CS Rating colours mean?

Premier shows your CS Rating in a colour that changes every 5,000 points: Grey 0–4,999, Light blue 5,000–9,999, Blue 10,000–14,999, Purple 15,000–19,999, Pink 20,000–24,999, Red 25,000–29,999, Gold 30,000+. The colour is only a visual band; matchmaking uses the exact rating number.

How are CS2 Premier ratings distributed?

In our sample of 1,192 players, the Blue band is the most common with 40.4% of players. 41.4% of players are below 10,000, and only 4.8% reach 20,000 or more.

What percentile is a 20,000 CS Rating?

A CS Rating of 20,000 or more (pink and above) puts you in roughly the top 4.8% of the 1,192 Premier players in our sample.

What are the FACEIT levels and Elo ranges?

FACEIT has ten skill levels: Level 1 (100–500), Level 2 (501–750), Level 3 (751–900), Level 4 (901–1,050), Level 5 (1,051–1,200), Level 6 (1,201–1,350), Level 7 (1,351–1,530), Level 8 (1,531–1,750), Level 9 (1,751–2,000), Level 10 (2,001+). The top 1,000 Level 10 players are shown as Challenger.

Is CS Rating the same as FACEIT Elo?

No. CS Rating is Valve's Premier rating inside CS2. FACEIT Elo is calculated by FACEIT for matches on its own platform. They use different scales and different player pools, so there is no exact conversion between them.

Where does this CS Rating distribution come from?

It is built from the latest Premier rating of every distinct player seen in Premier matches recorded by the MetaBot Desktop app: 1,192 players as of Oct 8, 2026. It is not Valve's official leaderboard, and players who use MetaBot may not match the whole CS2 population exactly.
