Deadlock's ranked ladder is made up of 11 ranks, climbing from Initiate at the bottom to Eternus at the very top. Every rank is divided into six subranks (I through VI) — fill the sixth subrank and you promote into the next rank. Your rank badge is calculated from your performance in ranked matches and updates as the system recalibrates your skill. Players who haven't yet established a rank display the Obscurus badge. What is the highest rank in Deadlock?

Eternus is the highest rank in Deadlock, reserved for the very best players on the ladder. Reaching Eternus requires consistently winning at the top of the ranked population.

How do subranks work in Deadlock?

Every Deadlock rank is divided into six subranks, numbered I to VI. You climb through the subranks of your current rank as your performance improves, and advancing past subrank VI promotes you into the next rank.

What does the Obscurus rank mean in Deadlock?

Obscurus is the badge shown when a player's rank hasn't been established yet — it represents an unranked or hidden rating rather than a rung on the ladder. Play ranked matches and the system will place you into a rank.
