The Flame goes from level 1 to 11; each of the 10 upgrades needs Sparks, regional materials and a boss trophy. Every level adds 60 s of Shroud time (5 min at level 1, 15 min at level 11) and raises how many altars and water sources you can run, up to 16 altars. The last upgrade needs Vorgoth's Bound Essence, Vorgoth's Eye, so the final Flame level comes after the final boss.
