It happened as we were surveying the aftermath of Vorgoth's crusade. We knew of the destruction, but not of the decay that followed. The rot had left no survivors, nor bodies to bury.
Nightfall came swiftly. Without warning, the Fell sprang from the mist and sundered us from Commander Cyrus. We were forced to seek shelter here, but despite our negligence, we are blessed beyond all. While veiled in the holy light of the Flame, the Fell won't come near... Or perhaps our refuge is the result of Emily's blessing.
I pray their southern caravan route is less perilous than ours. I must set down the pen. Casper cries. He needs soothing.
