Meta builds come from recent ranked matches: the items each hero's players buy most, in the order they usually buy them, and the most common ability order. The first eight ability points are measured; the rest follow the most common max-first priority.

What are community builds?

Community builds are item categories, ability orders and guides written by MetaBot players. Anyone can read them; signed-in players can publish their own and vote.

How do I create a Deadlock build?

Sign in to MetaBot, press Create a build, pick a hero, then add item categories, your ability order and your guide. You can start from the hero's meta build.

How are builds ranked?

Hot ranks recent builds by votes, Top uses a confidence score so a few votes don't outrank many, and In-depth puts the most complete guides first.

Are builds updated for new game updates?

Every build is stamped with the game update it was saved on and checked against the live shop. If an update removes or changes something a build uses, it is marked outdated until its author updates it.

Can I use a build in game?

Deadlock can't import builds from outside the game, so every build page has a Recreate in game checklist. In MetaBot Desktop you can also follow a build, and the in-match overlay shows the next item to buy.
