How to build a WARDOGS loadout

Five steps, in the order the builder above follows.

  1. Pick the primary for your role. Each role track unlocks its own guns, so start from the weapon your role actually has. The lightest primary is the Compound Bow at 1.3 kg and the heaviest is the AMR 50 at 12.5 kg — that gap alone changes how much armor you can carry.
  2. Choose magazines and ammo. Pick a magazine size and how many you carry. HP rounds did 2× the FMJ damage and AP rounds 0.8× against our unarmored test target; how they behave against armor has not been measured.
  3. Add attachments that fit. Only optics, underbarrel and muzzle attachments that the vendor lists for that gun are offered. Each one adds weight, and bipods list Reduced mobility as a con.
  4. Pick armor, vest and backpack. Armor is the biggest weight decision: body armor ranges from 3 kg to 18 kg and helmets from 1 kg to 4.5 kg. Higher levels unlock on the WARDOG track.
  5. Fill quick slots and check unlocks. Add grenades, medical items and tools, then read the unlock panel: it lists the highest level you need on each track, so you know which role to level next.

Weight and mobility

In-game data

What we know from the game UI, and what we do not.

Every weapon, attachment, magazine, armor piece and tool in the Equipment Vendor shows a weight in kilograms, and WARDOGS groups your total load into equipment weight classes that affect how you move. The heaviest single item we have logged is the Level 4 Armor at 18 kg.

The weight classes are confirmed by the game itself: the Adrenaline Pen lists the property Reduces Equipment Weight Class.

Some attachments trade mobility for stability: M249 Bipod, PKM Bipod, Pro Tilt Bipod, SKS Bipod, SV98 Bipod, SVD Bipod list Reduced mobility as a con.

The kilogram thresholds of each weight class and their exact speed penalties are not shown in the game UI and have not been measured yet, so this builder reports your total weight without guessing a class.

A WARDOGS loadout starts with one of 25 primary weapons, one of 5 sidearms and, for Support, one of 4 launchers. Primaries weigh from 1.3 kg (Compound Bow) to 12.5 kg (AMR 50), and body armor adds 3–18 kg on top, so armor and gun choice decide most of your total load. The builder only offers the magazines, ammo and attachments the Equipment Vendor lists for each gun, and it counts every magazine you carry. Items whose weight the game does not print — most bullet ammo, for example — are listed separately instead of being counted as zero. The damage panel uses MetaBot's Firing Range measurements against an unarmored target; it is a like-for-like comparison, not a time-to-kill against armored players.

WARDOGS loadout FAQ

How do I build a good loadout in WARDOGS?

Start from the primary your role has unlocked, add the magazines and compatible attachments you need, then choose armor with its weight in mind: body armor alone ranges from 3 to 18 kg. Finish with grenades, medical items and tools, and use the unlock panel to see which track you still need to level.

Does weight matter in WARDOGS?

Yes. Every item lists a weight, and the game groups your load into equipment weight classes that affect mobility — the Adrenaline Pen even lists Reduces Equipment Weight Class as an effect. The exact kilogram thresholds are not shown in game and have not been measured yet.

What is the heaviest item in WARDOGS?

The Level 4 Armor at 18 kg. Among primary weapons the heaviest is the AMR 50 (12.5 kg) and the lightest is the Compound Bow (1.3 kg).

How heavy is armor in WARDOGS?

Body armor ranges from 3 kg (Level 1 Armor) to 18 kg (Level 4 Armor); helmets range from 1 kg to 4.5 kg.

Can I share my WARDOGS loadout?

Yes. Every pick is saved in the page address, so the Copy link button (or the address bar) gives you a link that reopens exactly the same loadout. Weapon pages also link here with that gun already selected.

Where does the damage in the loadout builder come from?

From MetaBot's own Firing Range tests: single FMJ shots at an unarmored mannequin at about 20 m, with fire rate timed from the HUD. HP and AP values apply the measured 2× and 0.8× multipliers. There is no time-to-kill because player health and armor reduction have not been measured.
