Ready-made plans

One click loads a full shopping list into the calculator.

Each item is broken down along the recipe a player would actually use: never back through storage blocks (an iron block is not mined for ingots), and with any tag ingredient counted as its first member (oak planks for "any planks"). Recipes that make more than one item are rounded up to whole crafts, so leftovers are included. Smelted materials count as raw unless you tick "Smelt from ores".

Crafting calculator FAQ (Java 26.3)

How does the crafting calculator work?

Add items and quantities; it expands each recipe down to raw materials using the Java 26.3 recipes, rounding every craft up to whole batches.

What do you need to make a beacon?

One beacon needs 5× Glass, 3× Obsidian, 1× Nether Star: the nether star comes from the Wither.

Does it count smelting?

By default ingots, glass and other smelted materials are treated as raw. Tick "Smelt from ores" to count raw ores and sand instead.

Can I share my list?

Yes: the page address always holds your list, so "Copy link" gives a link that opens the same calculation.

What about recipes that accept any wood or wool?

The calculator counts the first option (oak planks, white wool); any member of the group works in the game.
