Resistance is a status effect in Minecraft (Beneficial). Reduces incoming damage by 20% per level; level V makes you immune. Potions that give it: Potion of the Turtle Master. Foods that give it: Enchanted Golden Apple. Below: what it does at each level and every source (Java 26.3). A beacon with at least 2 pyramid tiers also gives it.

How to get Resistance

Beacon

Beacon needs a pyramid of at least 2 tiers: players within 30 blocks get it for 13 s, renewed every 4 s. A full 4-tier pyramid reaches 50 blocks (17 s). On a full pyramid, choose it as both the primary and the secondary power for level II.

Resistance tips

Resistance stacks with armor and Protection, so a Resistance beacon makes a base far harder to kill you in.

Gives Resistance I for 30 seconds (raise the last number for higher levels):
