I awoke amidst the dead on the battlefield, my mind a blank as to how I came to be here. Around me lies only death, the stench and silence pressing in like a nightmare. What is this madness? The sole thing I can recall is the tricoloured banner of the empire, fluttering faintly in the wind — it shall guide my path through this horror.

His touch... changed me, gave me the power of fire. I don't know what to make of all this, but the power of fire will certainly come in handy in this nightmarish reality within which I find myself.
